Building Fund

Tri-Town Theatre Building Initiative

. . . for a home of our own . . .

For over four decades, Tri-Town Theatre volunteers have presented live theater to the Tri-Town area at many different venues. As demand for rehearsal and performance space continues to climb, it is increasingly challenging to mount the quality productions our audience has come to expect. It has become clear to our Board that we need a home of our own.

With our own space, Tri-Town Theatre will be able to rehearse and construct sets when our volunteers are most able to donate their time. We’ll be able to stage more productions, be more creative with staging and effects, and continue to improve the theatergoing experience for our audience.

Many theater groups in surrounding areas have already made the important move to having their own space, refurbishing existing buildings or even creating custom spaces of their own. Like them, we hope to receive public funding, but we must begin by raising seed money at the grass-roots level. We’ve established a special building fund and earmarked a portion of our income to help grow this fund. In the near future, we’ll be holding fundraising events for this purpose. From our supporters, we seek the following:

  • Cash donations for our building fund (fully tax-deductible)
  • Information about likely properties
  • Offers of donations of land, materials, and/or labor (lawyers, realtors, landowners, contractors, etc.: we need you)

To find out how you can help, please call 607-639-2930 , write us at P.O. Box 423, Sidney, NY 13838.
